Playlist Exporter for YouTube™ ("the extension") is built to be private by design. This policy explains, in plain language, what the extension does and does not do with data.

What we collect

Nothing. The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. It contains no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking pixels, and no third-party services.

How the extension works

• When you click Export on a YouTube playlist page, the extension reads the contents of that page (video titles, links, channel names, durations) solely to generate the export file, which is saved directly to your own computer.
• To complete missing channel names, the extension may query YouTube's own public oEmbed endpoint (a request to youtube.com, the site you are already on). No data is sent to any other party.
• Your format preference and license status are stored in your browser's local extension storage and never leave your device.

Payments

Pro purchases are processed by our merchant of record, a third-party payment provider. Payment details (such as card numbers) are handled entirely by the payment provider and never touch the extension or our systems. The extension only stores a local flag indicating that Pro is unlocked.

Permissions, explained

• Access to youtube.com — required to read the playlist page you have open. The extension runs nowhere else.
• Downloads — required to save your export file to your computer.
• Storage — stores your format preference and license status locally.
• Active tab — detects whether the current tab is a playlist page.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date. Because the extension collects nothing, changes are expected to be rare.
